Once the vows are done, the party decides what your guests remember. These are the entertainment ideas that land at a Star Wars wedding, plus the music and the five quotes worth stealing.

Star Wars Wedding Entertainment Ideas

The type of entertainment at a wedding has evolved significantly over the years and is one of the main factors in making a wedding memorable. An effective icebreaker is also essential for keeping guests engaged during your reception.

Lightsaber Exit

Lightsaber exit is one of the coolest entertainment ideas in a Star Wars wedding with its stunning hues covering the night as you end a fun and memorable affair! But with the cost of lightsabers, it can get pretty expensive! Amazingly, there are some premade sabers we can find available in the market to relive the geeky fun!

You can even buy them in bundles like this Light Up Saber Pack of Three, which comes with three light sabers that expand from 18 to 33 inches. Liberty Imports also offers you a bundle of 12 light sabers for the price of one!

In addition to providing you with a spectacular exit for your wedding, these lightsabers also make great party favors!

Holograms

Holograms play one of the most iconic and valuable roles in Star Wars as they give an epic way of delivering messages, introduction to menacing characters, time visual communication, and map presentation! Adding them to your wedding will surely keep the true fans engaged on your special day!

There's a way to show your holograms right from your smartphone for free if you are unable to get your hands on a hologram projector.

Here’s what you will need:

  • A pencil

  • Graphing paper

  • A utility knife

  • Clear tape

  • A clear CD case

Here's how:

Step 1:

Draw a trapezoid with the bottom 6 cm long, the top 1 cm long, and both diagonal sides 3.5 cm long on the graphing paper. Then, cut this trapezoid out. It is also possible to print this template online.

Step 2:

Create four trapezoids by tracing and cutting out the clear plastic face of a CD cover using your template.

Step 3:

Make a pyramid by taping these pieces together.

Step 4:

Flip this pyramid over your phone's screen. Although this may not project every image, dozens of websites have projections that work with your new advanced technology. You can also customize a video presenting other iconic Star Wars characters like Yoda or even insignias!

This nifty project will keep your guests in awe as you project R2D2 or the Millenium falcon on their tables!

Would you love to get a hand with this geeky idea, but you are not on the DIY side? Worry no more!

Magicians

Due to TV programs like Britain's Got Talent (BGT), Penn and Teller Fool Us, and YouTube, magic at weddings has become increasingly popular.

Hiring a magician who specializes in mind reading for your wedding is a great ice breaker! What kind of surprise would they find if they came upon a secret magician sitting on a Sith or Jedi's table?

Giant Chess

Every Star Wars fan knows Dejarik, a renowned board game played throughout the galaxy! However, nobody still knows how to play the game. But that can never stop a true fan from having fun! The giant chess is an amazing game to entertain your guests by grouping them to engage in a competition between Jedi versus Sith!

Caricatures

A reception caricature artist makes the best wedding entertainment. Ideally, you will want to have a separate area away from the dance floor for the artist and for guests to take breaks. You can get creative with a custom border including your names and the date, and even offer digital downloads if you'd like to make your caricatures a wedding favor!

While it may not be enough to fill an entire evening, there are some key moments in any wedding that should never go unnoted. These include the bride and groom’s walk down the aisle as well as their first dance together at either end of dinner; music choice for when guests start dancing is up to you but feel free to let a live band play while everyone else enjoys food from your caterer or DJ if hired! If planning on having musicians perform during this time too - see what they can do about dressing up like cantina bands throughout their performance so all remember how much fun these activities were supposed

Here are some music notes to score on the day of your wedding:

● Duel of Fates

● The Imperial March

● "Main Title"

● "Imperial Attack"

● "The Little People Work"

● "Rescue of the Princess"
