A Fairytale Beginning
Carrie and Paul’s wedding was a love letter to everything they adore—renaissance fairs, video games, and great books. Held at Bill Miller’s Castle, a venue that looks straight out of a fantasy novel, their wedding felt like stepping into another world. The castle’s grand wooden beams, stained glass, and intricate chandeliers made the perfect backdrop for their story. And no fairytale wedding is complete without an extraordinary cake.
A Cake Worthy of an Epic Love Story
Designed with the kind of love that would make any Hyrulean baker proud, their cake was a three-tiered masterpiece with a smooth, white buttercream finish, adorned with cascading gold leaf and lush greenery. Atop the cake stood a perfect nod to their shared love of gaming: figurines of Link and Princess Zelda, locked in an eternal, heroic stance. The cake was a flawless mix of sophistication and personality, seamlessly fitting into the castle's grand ambiance while making it uniquely theirs.
First Look & Ceremony
Their day began with a heartfelt first look, where Paul turned to see Carrie in her stunning gown, emotions running high. The ceremony took place in front of a grand fireplace, the warm glow adding an intimate touch to their vows. Surrounded by friends and family, they promised forever in a setting that felt both grand and deeply personal.

Portraits & Smoke Bomb Fun
After the ceremony, we took portraits that truly reflected their personalities. The castle’s grounds, with rustic stone walls and towering trees, set a stunning stage. But the real highlight? Smoke bombs! Vibrant colors swirled around them, creating cinematic, dreamlike images. One particularly memorable moment involved a wayward ember from a smoke bomb lightly singeing a bridesmaid’s dress—luckily, everyone laughed it off, and it became a hilarious wedding memory.
Reception & Unique Wedding Gifts
The reception was filled with laughter, dancing, and geeky details that made it uniquely theirs. From tabletop game centerpieces to references to their favorite fantasy novels, every detail was a nod to their shared passions. Guests gifted them an assortment of books, rare collectibles, and even a beautifully crafted wooden gaming set, which is perfect for cozy nights in as newlyweds.
