The Plan
Some weddings are magical. And then there’s Franchesca and Luis’s wedding, which is a Harry Potter dream brought to life. Held on October 2, 2021, at Brewery Legitimus in New Hartford, this celebration was absolutely enchanting. And here’s the kicker: they pulled all of this together in just under six months! Yes, six months to craft a wedding so detailed and immersive it could rival Hogwarts itself.
Picture This
A crisp fall day, the venue adorned in the rich autumn hues of deep maroons, golden yellows, and earthy greens. The ceremony backdrop was a stunning Deathly Hallows triangle, which later doubled as the perfect accent for their sweetheart table. From the moment guests walked in, it was clear this wasn’t your average wedding. Franchesca and Luis didn’t just sprinkle in Harry Potter elements; they lived them.
Everywhere you looked, there were whimsical nods to the wizarding world. Custom wands? Check. Floating keys with “thank you” tags? Check. A Marauder’s Map and a Sorting Hat as part of the decor? Absolutely. And let’s talk about those golden snitch chocolates. Each was a sweet touch (literally) that had everyone grinning. Lastly, their cake topper read, “After all this time? Always,” a subtle yet heartfelt tribute to their favorite series.
The Outfit
The color palette tied it all together beautifully. Franchesca’s classic white dress contrasted perfectly with Luis’s sharp maroon suit. The bridesmaids brought the autumn vibes with dresses in shades of yellow, red, and green, while the groomsmen kept it classic in black suits. It was fall wedding goals, to say the least.
The Reception
Once the ceremony wrapped up, the fun truly began. The reception was packed with heartfelt speeches that had everyone laughing and tearing up. And when the dance floor opened? Oh, it was game on. Franchesca and Luis barely left the floor, dancing the night away with their friends and family. One highlight? Luis pulling off a playful, family-friendly striptease for Franchesca, proving that these two know how to keep things fun.
As the evening went on, guests snapped photos in front of a Hogwarts-inspired backdrop, capturing memories that’ll last a lifetime. The night ended with portraits that perfectly captured the magic of the day, one with a little bit of love, a little bit of laughter, and a whole lot of charm.
It’s hard to believe all of this came together in six months. Franchesca and Luis’ wedding is proof that when you pour your heart into something, incredible things can happen. Would we recommend planning a wedding this detailed in such a short time? Probably not. But hey, if you’ve got a little wizardry up your sleeve, anything is possible.
